2023 Lustria Pinot Noir
Willamette Valley
Vineyard:
The 2023 Lustria Pinot Noir is primarily sourced from Hyland, Gregory Ranch, and Eola Springs, along with select Willamette Valley vineyards, all chosen to craft a smooth, layered, and complex expression of classic Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.
2023 Vintage Notes:
A cool spring gave the valley a late start, but a warm, sunny summer and a mostly dry fall with cool evenings led to fully ripened grapes while preserving their freshness.
Winemaking:
Hand-harvested Pinot Noir grapes arrive at the winery in the early morning, ensuring peak freshness. They are 100% de-stemmed before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel, where they are gently punched down by hand daily to ensure optimal extraction and depth. The wine is then transferred to a mix of new and neutral French oak barrels, aging for 11 months. Finally, it is bottled with minimal filtration to preserve its purity and character.
Tasting Notes:
The 2023 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir opens with vibrant black cherry and dark berry flavors, layered with captivating notes of fresh fig, lavender, and cocoa nibs. Its smooth structure and inviting suede-like tannins create a refined, lingering finish.
Alcohol: 13.4%
